I'm back again after being away for a few years. I'm learning to use oscilloscopes for relative compression tests. Also just starting to use the scope for ignition problems with coil on plug issues and using a signal probe with the Pico Scope 2204A (cheap) oscilloscope and the I&M 7 software that can be used with this lab scope (non-automotive). I just got the Topdon Phoenix Plus scanner and really like it. I've learned a lot about the 5 v reference circuits that are the pulse of the modern engine control system. I'm a recovering parts changer that is trying to understand these sensors and computer network controlled systems...
