Hello from Virginia! I mentioned youtube videos by Eric at South Main Auto to a coworker and he mentioned ScannerDanner.

So I'm here as a shadetree home mechanic. 40 y/o mechanical engineer that grew up working on cars - mainly insurance auction repair and rebuilds with my father in his home shop in SC.

I mainly work on my 2000 Silverado 1500 ECSB 5.3 4L60e, but will be selling it soon. We just purchased/inherited a 2006 Silverado 2500 HD CCSB 6.6 diesel allison. Other vehicles in the fleet include our family car (2009 Toyota Venza 2GR-FE FWD) and my commuter (2012 Mazda 3 2.0 6-auto.)
