I was asked to post the size limit for picts uploaded to the forum. The size limit is 1000 px x 1000 px and 750 kb size. Please keep this in mind when uploaded pictures. Also we only accept jpg, jpeg, gif, png extensions.

So if you take a picture with your cell phone it will be too big unless you size down the photo.

Google Picasa is very good for down sizing to 1000x1000 pixels, and it :P is free.

Been getting mime file warnings from certain photos. Also got some heic file type warnings. This is something Android has had for awhile now. Supposed to make it easier for web uploading, etc with the heic format type I was reading on Android central. Yes a computer geek here as well.

Is there plans for the forums to allow these other file types as in the post I was reading on Android central they talked about JPG eventually being replaced.

I like to point m, shoot and upload when it comes to dealing with forums.

for the time being I will either use the jpeg format which requires switching play my settings or just click edit on the photo and put a little color line in the bottom corner then save it and from what I can tell it saves it as a different format so that's good to know as a good work around for the time being.
