Kind of reminds me of when I first started working in the junk yard, walking home for miles after laboring in the sun. cut up, burn marks on my arms, clothes stinking of gear oil and stained immeasureable. People look at you like you're trash, or a junky, but I knew I was grinding myself down to the bone to support my family, and it kind of helped me transcend the people "better than me" who didn't mind slowing down to holler, but wouldn't offer a ride or cold drink of water...

Zechariah 3 speaks of one with "soiled clothes" who is given God's grace & blessings:
(verse 3) Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and was standing before the Angel of the LORD God. (4) Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” (5) And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of Yehovah stood by.
(6) Then the Angel of Yehovah admonished Joshua, saying, (7) “Thus says the Lord God, Yehovah of Armies: ‘If you will walk in My ways, And if you will keep My command,
Then you shall also judge My house, And likewise have charge of My courts;
I will give you places to walk among these who stand here.
