Am having difficulties wen testing car alternators especially with 4 wires ,3 and 2.which wires should be having voltage and y?

Hey Cyrus. This is not really a repair question. You do have the eBook right? I'm going to transfer this post to ScannerDanner book questions and discussion. Section 1 'Universal testing methods' page 30 'Alternator testing'
I know the answer you're looking for isn't there but that section is meant to ask questions about anything in the book.
