Another blow to Youtube providers from 1/1/2018 Youtube will no longer be available on Amazon Fire TV and Fire Stick, while I don't know what perecentage of viewers watch the free channels this way it will reduce the number of views and revenue to the providers.

Amazon and Google have been feuding for a a while but reportedly they are currently in "productive talks" so anything could happen with regard to Youtube in the next few weeks.
Sky (which is partly owned by the Murdoch empire) owns a huge chunk of Roku which is why there is no Amazon on Rouku or Now TV boxes at least in Europe.
It is a bit like choosing which team to support ...................... I long ago ran out of HDMI ports on my TVs
Youtube is going down hill everyday Youtube advertising may be the source of income for the channel and content providers but it is gradually becoming too intrusive, it will kiil the goose that layed the golden egg.
