I was recently watching the video about the Jeep Grand Cherokee no start. In the first part Paul said that the crank sensor was pull down based on prior knowledge. On the second part when the key is on the crank is reading .13V. Shouldn't it be reading 5V just like the cam sensor? I might be missing something, but if someone could help clear this up I would appreciate it. Thank you.
I revisted this video early this AM although I was probably not paying the attention I should have. I think what you have to keep in ind that a Hall Effect sensor is a switch and can fail open or closed high or low. A further curved ball I encountered with the active wheel speed sensors on Bosch ABS systems if a sensor fails the power up self test the ABS module cuts the power to the sensor. :silly: :woohoo:
