I'm finishing up your course / work book and let me say your principals need to be universally taught in all automotive training courses. ( this coming from a one time ASE master tech L-1 )
Regarding test light testing..brilliant !!..however as the course progresses there are various mili-amp draw values quoted for different types of circuits, eg; transistor, coil drivers, injector drivers ect. it would be nice to have a chart where all of this is listed to refer to when needed for doing bypass testing. I have several test lights with varying miliamp draw, this would allow using the appropriate light without doing circuit damage.  Regarding using the multimeter diode function for circuit integrity...again brilliant !...a side note about the Fluke 88V automotive meter, it generates a 7+ volt diode signal..

P/V=I
Ex: 3 watt bulb ÷ 12v = .25A (250 milliamps)
