Hey I have a quick question I'm doing a smoke test on the truck and I have smoke coming from the egr valve. Question is is this normal?

Fuel trims high? I’d spray brake clean around the leak looking at trims if they go negative I’d say it’s a leak. The old fords always leaked from the egr valve during smoke tests

I'm OK with some smoke from the EGR.

Thanks Noah with you that make 2. Today l found out that it is leaking from the vavle cover grommets to spark plug tube. I had the coils loose and started the truck and the coils popped out on 2 cylinder.

After I first got a smoke machine, I replace a couple EGR valves (different vehicles) only to find the new ones leaking, too. I'm "OK" with a leaking EGR, now, too.
