2008 chevy trailblazer 4.2. Temp gauge stuck low 110 degrees. check engine light came on. Plenty of heat inside. Ect shows 180 degrees but infrared aimed at thermostat pipe coming from block shows around 90. When I cleared code temp gauge went up to 180 from 110.why did that happened when cleared code. When I looked at scan data engine cold compared to iat was about 7 degrees difference. Bad thermostat? Thanks in advance.

Hi autojoe,

I had the same issue in a ecotec 2.4 engine. It was a bad thermostat.

Cheers
