2006 Ford Focus 2.0 duratec CAT fault? was created by Desmond6004
Cleared fault codes: P0231 "fuel pump circuit low", P0571 "cruise control brake switch"
P1260 "theft detected", P2121, P2122 "TPS D circuit low". U1900 "CAN comm fault".
After clearing codes I took it for a drive up to 80km/hr - no faults returned.
Removed spark plugs, gaps were between 1.5 and 1.8mm. It's a mechanics car so they will be
advised to replace plugs but I closed the gaps up to 1.3mm for test purposes. Cyl 1 and 2 had oil halfway
up the coil stalks though that never seems to cause a misfire.
The interesting thing is that normally after clearing codes I/M readiness shows that EGR has not been completed
for 3 drive cycles. This time it's "CAT" that is in the red.
oxygen sensor activity is quite high on sensor 2 - though I'm not sure how active it should be.
The centre of this pattern is when revs are held just below 3000 for a while

What does the Mode $06 data have to say about the cat? Your O2 behavior certainly doesn't look good, but that's not always a smoking gun.
Fuel trims good under load? Exhaust leaks? If that's all good, it's cat time.
