Car is 1988 Audi 1,8L 4 cyl have post before before on secondary ign, car runs good most of the time, on occasion with harsh engine break once at coasting speed then runs normal.
Sometimes fishbite misfire and poor idle no problem when full throttle. Distributor with igniter and reluctor wheel in distributor and hall sensor. New spark plugs, plug wire rotor, cap, coil.
this picture is when car running good in idle. but secondary waveforms look no good.

Scoped primary voltage when car running nice in idle, primary pull voltage down to 270milivolts and when car starts idling poorly primary pull down voltage to 1,2 volt.
Could it be the igniter that loose ground. Voltage to Igniter is ok and ground also no bad ground in to igniter.
red trace primary voltage blue trace king lead secondary.

Igniter did not solve problem but still there is improvement in spark (stronger) and amperage is higher 8,4A.
Problem solved check valve to vacuum advance in distributor was turned wrong way no vacuum to distributor so it did not advanced timing in cruising speed and idle. Idle is better now but sometimes when engine is in operating temp there is like someone turn on a switch idle goes lower, Will check in to this later.
