before sometime I did clean throttle body for yukon 2007
I did it as I used to do every time after I clean throttle body relearn by scanner or by disconnecting positive battery before I begin to clean
with that car I remember I disconnect positive and plug it again after I clean throttle body
but the problem when I start the vehicle
the rps is going up to 2000 rpm
I did try to rest throttle by my scanner g-scan but that wasn't work
I did rest throttle by tech 2 also nothing response
the rpm still up
I did try to drive the car maybe it will be relearned by it self . but the rps still high
next day my fried led the can to another shop who have online MDI
and thy did the rest instantly
Here is the question
why that Yukon doesn't response to relearn ??
is there specific model of GM vechils ? if yes so how do I know it before begin ?
is there another method without scan tool ?
now time I still afraid for any GM truck 2007 model !

I ask because I've heard cases of GM vehicles with idle problems that refuse to relearn anything until the module gets reprogrammed or replaced. Never heard why this happens, exactly

Sorry, by programming, I mean he may have either programmed in a newer calibration of module software, or re-installed the existing calibration. Either way, it results in the module 'starting from scratch' on the throttle learning.

Does it better to keep battery plug in while cleaning throttle body ?
Or no different !

Just reinstalling the existing software (if it's the most up-to-date version available). The best analogy I can think of is reinstalling Windows 7 on a computer that already had Windows 7. Does that make sense?

I think either way would work! Personally, I prefer to keep the battery connected, turn the key off, and disconnect the throttle body connector before cleaning. This prevents the PCM from getting upset about any other adaptives that may get lost during the battery disconnect, AND prevents the PCM from attempting to close the throttle while my hand is in there.
I know other guys that prefer to turn the key on and floor the gas with a pedal depressor to keep the throttle open for them during cleaning. Not my cup-o-tea, but it works for them

I appreciate your replies .
What about TOYOTA vehicles ?
there is no way to rest throttle body by scan tool !
Actually I used to disconnect battery before I begin to clean throttle body
and plug it again after cleaning . then it should work properly
but I remember I did clean throttle body with CAMRY maybe 2010 4 cylinder . after cleaning the rpm rise up
I did disconnect battery and nothing changed
the rpm is about 1000 rpm
I told the customer to drive the car for a while and the rpm will go back to normal state
he did
but the rpm still 1000
he went to TOYOTA agency to solve this issue
but they didn't
the rps still 1000
I would like to know is there any way to rest TOYOTA throttle bodies ???

No problem!
There's no Toyota scan tool relearn function that I'm aware of, besides the bi-directional functions to make the throttle open and close. All the Toyota/Lexus throttles I've worked with just relearned on their own

If you run into that again, you can try disconnecting both battery cables and touching them together, and perhaps even tie them together and have a cup of coffee. This is sometimes more effective than just disconnecting the negative or positive. You can also try removing the ECM1 and ETCS fuses from the fuse box, as these are the power sources for the ECM and the throttle control.
