Good evening everyone. I'm new to diagnostics. Im having issues with a vehicle that I was asked to look at. 2015 Chevrolet Traverse 3.6 with 155k miles. Vehicle has 3 codes that always set after clearing codes. When cranking first code to set is P0068, after that p0101 follows and p0106.
The first time I scanned the vehicle I used a generic obd2 reader but did not saved the codes I can remember seeing over advanced timing codes but after clearing them the only ones that came back were the 3 that I mentioned previously. When I scanned with a better scanner I was able to see that there were permanent codes for timing over advanced. P0011 p0014 p0021 p0024. Not exactly sure where to start.

With all those cam timing codes, it most likely is going to need timing chains and phasers.
I would first check the oil, probably change it. I would also pull the VVT solenoids and check for debris on the screens and clean them. And if the codes come back after that, then there's really nothing to do but but the timing set.

Ive attached 3 images of the vvt solenoids.I was able to scope the camshafts and crankshaft. One at a time to try and see if this would aslo give me an answer with out tearing apart the front of the engine. But I dont have a known good one to compare it to. First picture of the solenoids seems to be the only one with any debris. Im cleaning them,  doing an oil change. Will try again like you mentioned.

A Google search should come up with a known good waveform for that engine, it's very common.
I'm not saying don't scope.it, by all means, scope everything! But it's just going to show you what the PCM all ready knows: it's out of time. I hope cleaning the VVT solenoids and changing the oil helps. Let us know how it goes.
