Hey Everyone,

Any input on this would be appreciated.

I have a 1992 Ford Econoline 5.0 that completely stalls at idle and will misfire at cruise speed and have been able to catch loss of Control to the Ignion coil coming from the Ignition control module on the distributor.

The distributor is brand new and have replaced it 2 times already with a new distributor.

The vehicle will not completely stall with throttle,  only at idle.

Have been able to capture complete loss of TFI control from distributor on lapscope,  have also tried a few different control modules, with similar outcome

Timing is spot on at 10 degrees before TDC

Have also put a new harness connector at TFI Module and still same result.

Non of the capacitors in the EECM are fried on this module and runs perfect when it doesn't stall.   We have had vehicle run perfectly fine for almost two hours thinking we fixed it with new TFI module and stalled again.

At cruise speed,  it feels like a misfire and on labscope i show loss of TFI control to coil at the moment it happens.

If anyone out there has some input on this i would really appreciate it.  Have also considered a new Throttle position sensor but doesn't make sense on the diagram but any input would be appreciated.

I am, definitely, not a guru on this system, but these videos might be helpful.
