No Battery Current Sensor 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LML
Hello all, I'm working on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with the Duramax. (2 batteries, 1 alternator configuration). I recently replaced the alternator and both batteries with AGM type. The truck seems to be stuck in charge mode constantly. I have 80-90% on the L-terminal constantly and 15.1-15.4V control module voltage. Body control module live data PIDs list
Battery current sensor = 0
BCM regulated voltage control = invalid
Battery state of charge at startup = 65%
Current battery state of charge = 65%
These values never change.
My question is: What controls the generator mode/output if I have no battery current sensor? In the service manual it shows that I should have one, but I don't. It does not exist. It's not simply a missing part either, there's no 3-prong connector that would plug into it either. Sorry for the long-winded question. Thanks a lot guys.
