Wow, I didn't think there was an EGR valve on any modern gasoline engines.
I'm not familiar with that vehicle or system, but I would look for a bidrectional test with the scan tool and see if the DPFE value changes with EGR steps and also if the engine begins to run rough. I'll link in some YouTube videos of Scanner Danner testing older Ford EGR systems. If it's still the same basic idea, DPFE signal voltage should be 0.5v-1.0v @ idle with no EGR Flow, and over 4v with and open EGR.
