Hello all, it's been a while since I was here. I ended up working at an Audi dealership for the last 4 years, and I feel like I've forgotten all my diag training I did with you all, as well as with Brin. Anyway, I've taken over a shop in Vero Beach, FL. I just bought a new TopDon Phoenix scanner and scope.
My car I'm working on is a 2023 Mercedes C43 AMG convertible. The issue is the passenger seat will not work. No movement at all, no seat warmer or vents. I have no communication with the seat module. I sent this car to a MB dealership and they found rodent damage to the wiring. I brought the car back to my shop, and I repaired the wires on the passenger side. I still had no communication with the seat. Sent the car to MB again, and they said it needed a seat module. Now I didn't tell them this, but I had already taken the seat module from the drivers seat, that works, and installed it on the passenger seat for testing. Still had no communications. I switched the modules back. So the dealer swore that was the problem. It was not. $1600 later and I'm still at the same problem, no communication with the passenger side only. I pulled the carpet on the drivers side, and found a bunch of wiring broken / eaten from rodents. I repaired those wires as well, but still no communications.
I believe it is just a CAN B network issue. I want to test communication from the door module (N69/2) to the seat module (N32/2) but I forget how to watch the network with a scope. I was hoping you could point me in the right direction with your training video's to help me remember?
I have access to Alldata and ProDemand.
Thank you,
