Hi all. This car has me stumped. It's my personal car that I'm trying to ge ready for my 16 year old son. Limp in, p0760 o/d solenoid circuit error. I went through the flow chart I found on prodemand. Load tested the circuit's with a headlamp bulb and ohmed the solenoid pack. Everything passed The Tcm was rotted through. I installed a reman tcm . The code came back, almost instantly. My friend happened to have a new solenoid pack that he gave me. Installed that, still the code came back. It seems to come back quicker now. So I may go through the wiring again. (I ohmed the new pack also and It passes) I didn't notice this before. But now I loose scanner communication with the Engine controller when I go to drive it. But I don't loose trans data. Not sure if this is related. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Also, I have agood scanner, a vantage pro, dvom and just about any electrical testing device in one form or another, so if theres a test that u know of, please let me know. (I do not have a transmission simulator device that part of the flow chart asked for. I just skipped that part)

According to AllData, you are required to perform a Pinion Factor( for the speedometer) and a Quick TCM Re-Learn. Not quite sure if the Vantage can do that.

Thanks for responding . I have an Apollo scanner. It has the capability to do the relearn. But the relearn wont run if there are codes in the TCM.

Some new info, when I loose ecm communications I can still communicate via Global obd2 and through generic functions. I moved the Ecm and got coms back. So I suspect a broken wire near the Ecm. Not sure if it related to the P0760 code.So here's what I am going to try to do. I'll trailer it up to the shop. Then video all my testing, I'll run through the flow chart, and the wiring testing and somehow post it here.then maybe one of the Geniuses here can help me see what Im missing. I know it's a lot to ask a Busy diagnostic tech, and I thank u guys ahead of time. My son has busted his but to come up with the money to get this car ready for him. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I won't likely have the time to do the video untill next Saturday.
