started noticing lag and sluggishness especially at normal around town driving ranges (1500-2700 rpms)
the car will very lightly emit some whiteish smoke from both tail pipes when left to idle. it will leave small traces of water if you let it sit for long enough. coolant level stays the same. not a coolant leak. i hear a lean running vehicle can do this.
the car has new spark plugs and wires that are gapped correctly (i checked)
new maf
plenty of new gaskets in the intake and all new vacuum hoses
i used my live data on my scanner and i noticed the LTFT on both banks are around 10 at idle although bank 2 will sometimes range a bit lower around high 8 or mid 9 while bank 1 will always be a tad higher.. STFT will stay around 0 (+/- 3) sometimes.
when under more load or higher rpms the LTFT drops to 0 and power feels more abrupt. normal driving is sluggish.
o2 sensor data seems ok from what i can tell..
fuel pressure is 55psi at idle which is correct for this vehicle. i flow tested it by jumping the fuel pump relay and measuring the sent fuel over 30 seconds which was plently over 1 liter.
smoked the intake out several times and can not find a leak anywhere. it will come out a little bit sometimes from the pintle of the egr but i hear that is normal
i recently got a pending code of p0123 which is the pedal position sensor. i ordered a new pedal but i can not imagine that would cause this vehicle to run lean at idle like that. any input please? this car is driving me nuts. im running out of ideas. next i was going to check injector flow.
you can also hear a slight rumbly random sound (misfire?) if you stick your ear into the air box at idle.
forgot to mention that this car has a second set of unmonitored cats midway exhaust. sometimes and only sometimes i will hear a marble jingle sound which i assume is a failed cat. i plan on doing a back pressure test but what are the chances that both are partially clogged and causing lean on both banks? or am i not understanding how that works?
