2011 Hyundai sonata GLS brake caliper question was created by popoften
What kind of socket do I need for this weird 7 point caliper to bracket bolt (see pic)? 

6 points don’t work, 12 points don’t work, spline sockets don’t work. ChatGPT was no help. I’m out of ideas …

any guidance appreciated.

Pop,
Don't touch those.
That will disassemble the caliper assembly and is not needed to change brakes.

The E torx sockets I am finding images of online have 6 detects whereas the bolt on my caliper has seven lobes. I don’t see how these could possibly fit into a standard E Torx. Am I missing something?
