I have an 2018 Nissan Titan, new fuel pump, new ecu from dealership. I am getting fuel pressure and have 12v at injectors. But I am not getting any control for the injectors, even with a new ecu. Checked power and grounds for ecu and they are good. No engine codes at all. Just a code for the steering angle sensor. I’m lost, maybe check cam and crank signal at ecu? Even so shouldn’t it throw a code for cam crank signals.
The security light blinks with ignition off and I believe key removed. Lock doors with key fob and it’s a solid light. Ignition turn on, no security light. No codes.
One thing I thought was weird was when I use the scan tool (autel maxi system) and look at ecu infomation. It says,
Software: 00000
Hardware: 00000
You would thing it would have some kind of number there
The behavior you described—blinking light off, no solid light during KOEO—is not a full confirmation that NATS is OK.
Scan tool says ECU hardware/software = 00000. That means the ECM hasn’t been initialized or matched to the BCM/NATS system!
Confirm the module software with a different tool.
Sure sounds like your in a NATS Lockout or Security loop with the ECM.
Was the ECM installed and programmed by the dealership? If it was bring it back.
You’re stuck in a security loop. Even with a new ECM, if it isn’t programmed and married to the vehicle with the correct NATS key ID/VIN, you’ll never get injector control.

Thanks for the reply, yeah I figured it was not communicating properly or the new ecu wasn’t programmed. I was told it was done at the Nissan dealership so I figured they would have done it right. I’ll get some info from the customer and go from there, most likely send it back to Nissan to do it correctly. Since we don’t do any of that programming in our shop
