2009 Camry LE 2.4 4cyl 2AZ-FE problem with inconsistent cabin air temperatures especially when blower and/or ac or defrost is on and gets worse with increased humidity/heat. And when outside temps and weather conditions like rain or snow are rapidly changing the system cannot keep up. I drive for work mostly highway 75,000mi per year and the mileage of the car is 440,000. Some parts have been replaced but others are original. I have replaced the AC Compressor 3 times, the ac condenser once, the expansion valve was worked on, I change and clean the cabin air filter regularly. I have not yet replaced the ac evaporator. Last spring/summer, beginning in April 2024, the air was coming out warmer on the left two vents than the right two vents, but the system was still able to cool the car down some if the time, if not too humid or too hot. I had the system evacuated and recharged at least 5 times at a high cost to me. My mechanic that worked on this issue in 2024 replaced the AC Condenser and AC Compressor and said that the switch was working properly. Initially he said the TXV was working but after in July the system was empty again and he worked on the TXV again, and initially it was cold again but then it lost everything overnight, and then he said he didn't use the dealer o rings and when he redid the TXV with the dealer TXV and 2 dealer o rings it seemed to hold refrigerant for some longer time. In September 2024 I checked the low side and high side pressures with a gauge set and found at 65 f that the low was 25 psi and the high was 350, and there was no fluctuations at all, no clutch seemed to be engaging. In march 2025 I checked again at 65 f it was still showing 25 psi low and 350 psi high. Cool air comes out of the vents but it's difficult to keep the cabin temp constantly comfortable. The low side piping feels cold to the touch but not all the time. When measured with a temperature gun and with the ac on max and recirculate with engine at normal operating temperature, the two left vents are posting about 35 to 45 f at 65 f and the 2 right vents cooling to 25 f to 35 f at 65 f outside temp.

I'm suspecting an ongoing leak or restriction but I don't know where to check or what to do since I already spent over $2000 on this problem in 2024 with no real results just the same situation now in April 2025 as when it started in Spring of 2024. My mechanic claimed that the receiver / drier did not need to be replaced every time the system was worked on / after each evac/recharge but I thought that it should be replaced every time the system gets opened up. I'm suspicious that the denso ac compressor is not the right match for this car and perhaps this specific car needs a compressor with clutch and maybe the problem is electrical in nature. I also hear dripping behind the instrument panel whenever the blower is used but even when the ac is off and right after turning the car off it sounds like there might be fluid leaking from the firewall area but if the evaporator is on the passenger side and I hear the dripping by the instrument panel and never find and puddle of water under the car or at the floor boards then I dont know for sure that it would be a problem with the evaporator coils.
