I got this s10 with a vacuum leak it turned out too be the brake booster. I put one from the junk yard and took care of the leak . Now I get loss of power black soot on spark plugs. I did find that a injector is leaking by the way it's TBI the question is if the injector is leaking and it has a vacuum leak will it run fine? Then I fix the leak andthen I get loss of power and back firing.

What load is your misfire/backfire? Does it do it at idle and acceleration? These plastic lines to the injectors are prone to wearing on the aluminum intake and leaking inside the intake inspect all of your injector hoses while you have it apart

Hey Ben it's at acceleration and it's not all the time. I already fixed the leak on the injectors. It runs better but it still has a backfire at hard acceleration not all the time.
