2002 Infinity Q45 4.5 Lts. engine got replaced by owner and it doesn't start. P0335 CKP code sets, and the car starts and stalls after like 10 seconds, or as soon as you step on the gas pedal (like an anti theft problem).
CKP and CMP are not dropping out, neither are the two "intake valve timing control sensors" that this car has.

I've posted on another forum asking if anyone has a known good CMP-CKP waveform to compare with and it looks like no one has one to compare with, although they gave me some good suggestions.

I'm leaning in the direction of bad timing because of these captures, please take a look and give me your opinion on what you would do.

Thank you for your time, and I really hope someone has the ckp-cmp waveform so I don't have to tear down this engine. :(

Although the exhaust stroke in image 2 does not look bad, too me, image 3 shows a pattern of rising exhaust pressure. It might be worth the time to remove the exhaust from the eqation.

I know, it seemed odd and I can't snap the throttle with the PV350 in it because it dies.
Thank you, I'll see how difficult it is to get the O2 sensors out. ;)

I would agree on the rising pressure on the exhaust stroke it points to choked cat, it might help to know what happened the previous engine.

Sorry sir, came up short :( Not a whole lot of anything out there for this 4.5L, unfortunately.

IMO, the exhaust going to 2 PSI at the end of the stroke isn't a red flag. I think the spark timing is the really telling part here. The spark taking place during the exhaust stroke, coupled with the random second strikes in the third capture really screams timing.

We all know the track record Nissan cam/crank sensors have, but I don't think that accounts for the 11" inHg vacuum...
