lets try this again because im not sure if the last one posted

From start to finish here is what happened.  Vehicle in question 2000 Jeep grand Cherokee 4.7 L  I went out to the car the day before the issue started happening. Started it for 10 minutes and they were seemingly nothing wrong. I went out to start it because I had issues with the battery a few weeks before hand and needed to charge it because it had low-voltage. I go out the next afternoon, press, the unlock button on an aftermarket key fob that I’ve never had issues with before, and I opened the driver side back door to start loading up the jeep. As soon as I did, the antitheft system alarm went off , I went to open the driver side door because that was supposed to unlock as well, and it was still locked, so I reached in between the back door to the driver door, module and unlock the door from the inside, stuck my key in the ignition and turned it over to stop the alarm, but the immobilizer killed the engine.  After this, I popped the hood, went around, disconnected the battery took the old battery out and replace it because I thought that was the issue. I also replaced the battery in the key fob. I was told that could be the issue. The driver side door will not unlock with the key fob, but it will unlock with the key and nothing happens. I noticed that when I open the driver side door, the interior lights don’t come on, but I can lock and unlock the driver side door from the driver door model but it does not unlock all the other doors like it’s supposed to. I stuck my key in the driver side door, turned it right to left multiple times to reset the alarm this did not work . I replaced the TCM relay, and the ASD relay did not help . I removed the driver side door panel and tested the connector going to the DDM.  On a brown and blue wire I am getting 12 V and on a yellow and purple wire, I am getting 9.5 V.  I checked all the fuses in the fuse box kick panel, and all of them are good. I checked all the fuses under the hood all of them are good. I’m thinking I have a bad ground somewhere between the door and the BCM so I’m going back out there now to check it before I have this car towed as a last attempt, but I’m not sure if I will prevail. I plugged in a reader and this is what I got from the first one P1698 - ChryslerTypePowertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - ManufacturerControlledDescriptionPCM Fault, No CCD Messages from TCM Conditions cause - Key on, and the PCM did not detect any CCD messages from the Transaxle Control Module for 10 seconds And this is what I got from the second one P1698$D1CHRYSLERニニニニニNo CCD/J1850 MessageFrom TCM/PCM  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Update: I just got off the phone with a mechanic that does specifically electrical services and he’s telling me it’s the door lock actuator . The security switch failed because I use it constantly. I have the car set to only unlock the driver side. And I go in and out of my car a lot, especially over the past three months. I ordered the part. It’ll be here later this evening. I will update this post if it worked.

Did the drivers door lock actuator fix your issues with the alarm system?

it did not. I had a mechanic come out and take a look at it. he ran a better scanner than the one I have and he believes it's the PCM or ECC whatever people call it. the thing thats not to the left TCM to the right of the coolant reservoir. the thing that up against the fire wall and harder to get to.

Quick update: I replaced the PCM with one from flash Masters off Amazon coded to my VIN.

I got everything plugged in. I reconnected the battery and for a second everything was OK. The driver side door responded to the key fob, and I was able to disarm the security system with the key fob. I open the door turn the key in the ignition the car starts.! But the gauges don’t move all my lights on my dash are on and the idol is really hard and runs really rough and it’s giving me the same code as before when I connect a scanner to it, I tried clearing the code. I drove it for a little bit still nothing now the driver side door does not respond to the remote, and I’m having the same problems as before, except it now runs because the security system is disabled.

I let it sit for a few days just because I couldn’t think of anything else to do. reconnected everything walked over and started up the car. All of a sudden my gauges work, my dash lights aren’t on and my door responded to the key fob so I guess replacing the PCM helped I replaced the two fuses for the TCM and the ASD . I kept the battery connected and let it sit for two or three days and now I have no more problems.

At first, I did get code P1768
I hooked up an OBD reader cleared the code turned to the car off put it back in the own position checked up for codes. Nothing came up started the car. Drove it for 10 minutes. Got it up to temperature and the code didn’t come back, but it is idling hard.

When I turned the came on position, I do get only about 10 maybe 11 V when I look at my battery gauge, but when I turn it over in the car is running it gets up to 14 so I don’t know what to do next. I’m not sure if it’s a problem yet, but I will update this if it becomes one.

So for now in summary replacing the PCM did Work, replacing the TCM fuses and ASD fuses might’ve helped with the coat that I got afterward. I’m not sure but I’ve checked on my grounds and I’ll check them again just to be sure and get underneath it this weekend.
