Hello, my name is Paul Young, I'm working on a 2005 chevy express with a 4.3 liter engine my question is is it normal for the fuel injectors to fire right after the next one in the firing order when you snap the throttle ,in other words say the firing order is 165432 when #1 fires the next one in the order would be # 6 and it fires then #1 fires right after that one I mean right after not in the normal crank angle space. I scoped the cam and crank and found no issues. I researched the power enrichment strategy and of course it just increases the on time. Is this norma. Any advise would be welcome
Unless it is a rich/misfire drivability problem, I wouldn't worry about it, too much. Fuel injector strategy can change based on engine conditions. For example, some vehicles will have "additional" injector events on warm-up to help heat the Catalytic Converter faster.
Unless you think these injector events are part of the problem that you are facing, based on other tests, don't get lured down the rabbit hole.
