Good day. i have problem with my ford focus when i pour diesel to the hose outlet from fuel filter case, the engine does start.
is it we have a bad diesel pump?

diesel pump - located exhaust camshaft
vacuum pump- located intake camshaft

diesel pump has a 2 wire, i think its a solenoid?

By any chance have you recently changed the fuel filter or pump ??? or recently run out of fuel ??? if so you need to use a hand primer bulb to prime the fuel system the fuel system

thanks for you reply Mr. Andy, i already changed my fuel filter. my problem is no fuel pressure came out on the diesel pump to injector

Its a 2.0tdci engine thats common to ford mondeo s Kugas, and freelander 2 and discovery sport in 2.2, can be difficult i use an old Mityvac i got in the 80.s does what it says on the case,

nothing happen, i tried in this video but nothing happen so sad. maybe the problem is diesel pump?
no check engine comes on except for abs light and traction control lights

good morning,no low pressure fuel pump present in fuel tank,only transfer pump in freelander 2 tanks for saddle tank.

Did you check for blocked or cracked hose between the tank and filter? If you have a pump like that video shows you can see if the flow caming "strong" or doesn t came at all!?
If is ok test and there's nothing else between filter and high pressure pump, so the pump probably is not able to suck diesel into it!
1 ? when the engine starts did you pushed diesel and another guy crancked the engine or you let the pump do the work, sucking diesel, it self?
