Can the big guns of the forum show me the hookup for my verus edge. I want to see the ignition event on my verus to see if I need plugs or coils. Once I capture a picture of the event, I'll then post it because I don't know how to read those too well. My coil wiring is as follows. the wire connector, blue/orange and black with white strip. My truck has a slight misfire. and the position of that #7 coil/wire is in a very BAD position. thanks guys. By the way, I also have the Vantage Pro old school scope.

Connect the ground lead the negative battery post, connect your scope channel to the CONTROL wire of the coil, set your scope to 400V, with a screen time of 10ms. and Enable "Peak Detect".
You can use a pierce-probe to access the control wire at any point between the computer and the coil.
However, this method can ONLY be used on 2-wire coils. Vehicles with 3 and 4-wire coils will need to use alternative methods.

You may be looking at the wrong coil.
Looks like cylinder 7 ignition coil has a brown & brown/white wire.

yes Noah, you're absolutely correct. the wiring is kinda fade it out. I just took a second look at it, and it's just as you state it. Truck under heavy load misfires. when I floor the pedal. First I'm going to proceed to check the plugs for any fouling. then I'm going to check on the coil to see if the boot is cracked or anything suspicious. Then I'll proceed with the scope. thanks Noah.

The scope is great, scope all the things! I would definitely scope the primary, but don't be ashamed to use an adjustable spark tester to get a good visual of the spark intensity and really put the coil under a good load. That's still my favorite method to rule out an ignition coil.
