This post is to follow up on scanner Danner’s post about a 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee, where the ethanol percentage was high causing the vehicle to be a hard start no start or stall. There seems to be no Resets for the ethanol content like there would be on a Chevy or GMC. And my case the vehicle was a no start with an ethanol content of 84.5%. Had the customer add 10 gallons of ethanol to get closer to the computer number and that allowed vehicle to start and run. However, still no way to reset values, even when resetting fuel trim adaptives. This is a flex fuel Jeep however from what I can tell, there is no flex fuel sensor in the fuel line. I’m guessing the Engine control module is using the pulse with the O2 sensor to gauge ethanol content. O2 sensor seems to be working fine when graphing and comparing the two upstream sensors wondering if scanner Danner found a solution to his 2011 Cherokee that had the same issue?

I personally never heard an update about that one. If you post this in that thread, he'll get an email (because he's the author of that thread) and maybe he will share what he found.

We ended up shipping it out to the dealer. Words I hated saying and even worse, typing lol.
This customer was supposed to give us an update. We know they are driving it but won't return phone calls. I will have the video up at some point as to what we did before giving up. It is upsetting that I do not have an answer on how it was reset.

Some Chryslers resetting the ETC (Electronic Throttle Control) will reset the alcohol content.
Sometimes I hate Chrysler/Jeep products and the lack of service info.
