I have been dealing with various issues with jeep for the past 3 months. The problem now is when the jeep is up to operating temperature.
You can be going down the road and all of the sudden it will start to buck and hesitate at a certain rpm range. It is usually in the 1500 to 2000 rpm range. You can accelerate or decelerate and it stops then but when it steady's back to the range it starts again. I can park it and idle it to those rpm's and cause it to stumble. I put a spark tester between the plug wire and plug and it is loosing spark. I put a fuel pressure gauge on it and the fuel pressure stays steady at 39 psi. The symptoms seem like a cps problem but that has been replaced with an aftermarket as mopar does not provide one for that year any longer. I have rotated the relays also. The coil , ecu, distributor, IAC, Map sensor, spark plugs, fuel filter have been replaced. I rebuilt the motor 4 years ago. Anything suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I feel it is in the ignition circuit.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have swapped the coil. I feel like it is something that's been replaced. I am going to try to start checking components again. It is for sure failing or happening once the engine bay is hot.
