My 2012 sierra 2500 HD Denali occasionally quits running just momentarily while cruising on the highway. It usually happens when either I or the cruise control let up 0n the throttle. If it’s moving fast enough, it restarts immediately upon applying throttle. If it’s in a parking lot or driveway I have to restart with the key. I have checked all grounds and the wiring harness for areas of corrosion or wear. I cleaned the grounds. No wear areas found. This may also be associated with a shift event in the transmission, but I can’t say for sure. It is a very infrequent but troubling occurrence. The dealer replaced a fuel injector and is ready to reload and fire the parts cannon. I am not. How would you folks proceed to diagnose? There is no check engine light and the only code is U0100 - lost comm ECM with BCM / TBCM. I drive on nasty rough unimproved roads and it doesn’t happen. Only see it on even smooth pavement, so I don’t suspect vibration , shorts etc. get me started down a rabbit hole!
You may have to start driving the truck with the scanner and see if you lose communication before the event. Also, when you start it up with the key, does it start instantly?
I am just trying to being attention to your post.
