As title says I have a 99 Lexus GS400 with a wild fuel trim issue.
At 1000rpm
Bank 1 equals STFT 19.5%
Bank 1 equals LTFT 21.9%
Bank 2 equals STFT -20.3%
Bank 2 equals LTFT 12.5%
While driving Bank 1 STFTwill hover around 0 +/- 2%
but Bank 2 will stay at STFT at -20.3% no matter the rpm unless WOT.
So far we’ve swapped injectors from Bank 1 to Bank 2. No change
Compression test was 145 on all cylinders.
O2 sensors have been replaced also
Both fuel dampers replaced
Both OCV replaced
Timing advance at idle is between 10 to 17 degrees.
Timing belt is new
Smoke tested and no leaks
Kinda at my wits end with the vehicle
Car doesnt have Catalytic Converters (Cats are gutted)
Video is the car just being started and the Bank 2 slowly goes negative
It seems like you have a vacuum leak on bank 1. The total fuel trims on bank 2 is -8%, which is considered acceptable.
What are the fuel trims at idle and at higher rpm? Most likely within acceptable range at higher rpm since it is okay under load (while driving).
