Need to know on the purge valve connector, should there be battery voltage, koeo with asd relay closed? I have 8 volts. Normal or do I need to look deeper? Can't seem to find the spec on it. 5.7l w/6spd trans.
according to the wiring diagram the power wire comes straight from the pcm pin 94 dark blue and white and a constant ground at g206. what is the code your chasing?? have you bench tested the purge valve to see if it clicks?
The purge solenoid is a positive side, pulse width modulated solenoid. the 8 volts you see is just the PCM switching the power to the purge valve. If you are just using a volt meter, then you are just seeing the average voltage. As cheryl hartkorn said, what is the issue you are having.
