1995 ram 1500 5.9 4x4 was created by Wayne Atkins
Can't seem to navigate this forum completely but hopefully this gets through. I have 95 ram 1500 5.9 that has a crank, intermittent start issue. Most times it will start right up but when I let it run till it warms up and shut it off it will not start. Being a 95 model there is no port to connect scanner. Issue started with idle surge so started by replacing sensors on throttle body. Seemed to correct issue. Now after engine reaches operating temp will not start and not Making electrical connection to injectors or plugs. All sensors on engine replaced and swapped out ecm with 2 different units. Same issue. Intermittent current supply to injectors and spark plugs engine does not fire. Looked through you tube for video showing this issue but to no avail. I am not a mechanic and shop in my small town can not find the issue either. Is there a video specific to troubleshooting a 95 ram crank-intermittent start or suggestions on how to test components with test light and multimeter. Thanks

"Intermittent current supply to injectors and spark plugs engine does not fire"
What exactly does this mean?
Are you losing the power feed to the injectors and the ignition coil at the same time when the truck does not start?
Or are you losing control for the injectors and ignition control?
Remember, Chrysler products use an ASD relay, so there will only be power to these components for a few moments when the ignition is turned on. You will need to check for power and control while cranking the engine

In addition to Noah's helpful observation you may notice that it is possible to scan this vehicle.
In the engine compartment you'll find a specific connecter, different from the J1962/OBD 2 connector. With a scan tool that works with these OBD 1 called systems you can read fault codes and see (limited) live data

I'll have to see if my local auto zone has an obd 1 scanner. Does my 1995 have the ASD circuit controlled by a relay. During no start pressure gauge still shows 40 pounds at fuel rail and will not start with gas or either and check with test light will show no spark to injectors or coil
