[FIXED] 06 jeep cherokee 3.7L p0152 was created by gilbert
God bless you my brothers and sisters.
I got this jeep with o2 codes and not charging. After checking somethings I found that it did charge at times only at high idle so i figured the pcm was good. It turn ed out to be the alt. replaced it and it's charging as it should. Now getting to the 02 I check bias voltage just like brother danner did on one of his videos that was good. I check grounds and heater wires to the pcm and found no short to ground the only thing was that when the 02 is plugged in on the brn/vio i do get ground from block. Is this normal? is it being grounded through the sensor? I unplugged all sensors even thou they, on the wiring diagram don't cross. I put a new sensor and code comes back it is an after market 02 from A/Z I know that thees sensors don't take . How can i make sure I'm making the right call and have the customer bring me another sensor I have installed NGK sensors and they do work on Chrysler.
Thank you for your help.

I would look at fuel trims also but I believe a power and ground for heater circuit and power and ground for for sensor of which I believe. 02 milli volts on ground if sensor wires are grounded pretty sure you would see that in your fuel trims too be pegged rich I believe

God bless you my brother's and sister's.
Dk/Blu and pink is the signal pin # 33 at PCM and at 02 sensor it's the bk wire. The brn/dk grn is the return the brn/vio heater power I think and last is blk/lt grn is ground .When I plug the 02 sensor I also get ground on the brn/vio is that normal?
The fuel trims are maxed out if I read them right. Thank you for your help.

Using a test light connected to B+? If so, then yeah, I'm OK with that. While you're there, it's also worth checking for power on that same wire with the engine running.

As long as you've got that, and you're confident in the sensor signal circuit, then I think you're safe to put another sensor in it. :cheer:

Also, not to be nitpicky, but is this a 3.7L engine? Just for anyone searching later.

Tyler this is the 3.7 I tried to edit it but not able to sorry. I did not check it with a test light I checked for continuity with volt meter. At this time I have the intake off and traced all the wires back to the pcm had to make sure it was all good. On the heater wires one go's to body ground and the other to the pcm how much volt should it have with key on if any or is it with it running?
