Hi, I have a 19 Jeep Cherokee in my shop that very intermittently sets a bunch of communication faults. Most of the modules on CAN C are setting codes when the fault occurs. The list of codes is long enough to fill a page but they are all communication faults and they all set at the same time as far as I know. I drove the car about 10 miles monitoring the CAN C signal at the PCM and this is what it looks like. The fault did not occur during this drive. I am used to seeing CAN signal looking more uniform without the spikes. Does someone know if this looks normal?

looks good to my eye. yellow hovers around 2.5 and jumps to 3.5, green hovers around 2.5 and drops to 1.5.
catching it in the act and then determining which module is causing it will be the hard part if you can't get it to act up in 10 miles. yikes.

Update: I was able to drive the car enough to create the problem. It only happens briefly, usually after driving while the car is idling. But even then, very intermittent. Here is a can capture when the fault is occurring, after unplugging the ABS from the CAN C star connector, the communication appears normal. I was able to plug it back in, fault returned. Are we pretty safe to put an ABS module in it?

while pinching a loaf and studying that waveform, nice capture by the way, i'm not smart enough to say if it's the module or a connector. The diagram also shows connector XY207A and I don't know where that is

I wish we could have put a module in it and proved a repair. Thanks for the help!

I should have said the customer declined the repair.

thanks for the update.
in hindsight i think unplugging the abs directly at the abs connector would be more bulletproof evidence and if this is hard to reach, pulling the fuses for the abs may work.
i'd still beat it cause it feels good.
