Ok I have a 03 chevy impala 3.4 with airbag light on checked codes erased all and just stayed with B1000 ecu malfunction and I can't get the air bag light off I don't no what to do from their now ... Need help !!!
You Need a new Airbag-Control Unit. This is a internal fault of your Airbag-Controller. Maybe you can try to reflash the Firmware, but this is not so easy...you Need a EEPROM-Programmer for this and a dump-file with a good Firmware.
I will also agree that the airbag module needs replaced. I wouldn't mess around with any reflash or eeprom stuff but go to a salvage yard and get a used one. After installing it, you need a scan tool to setup the used module but its easy and the scan tool does all the work. I believe most all snapon scanners can this and the function is in the bcm listed as "setup new SDM"
