unavailability of o2 sensor was created by naros812000
Dears,
Today, I diagnosed Toyota landcruiser cr known as prado 2.7l (2TR-FE) engine 2007. Car had black smoke, I wanted to see fuel trim but obd2 coudnt connect; I connected through scanner, all data available other than anything related to o2 sensor, I closely looked for the o2 sensor from the exhaust manifold to the tailpipe, no o2 sensors available,
Howcome toyota do such silly design?
How does sochio work?

Is that possible?

Thank you

Are you saying that you don't see any 02 sensors on the car anywhere in the exhaust system and it's a 2007 and no PIDs for 02 showing up on your scantool?

I'm going to take a guess here & speculate that this isn't a U.S. spec'd car. OP needs to provide more details on the emission standard for this vehicle. U.S. spec'd vehicles would have upper & lower sensors on both sides.

Toyota have used wide band Air fuel ratio (AFR) sensors rather than O2 sensors for some years --- different data pid.
