I was practicing with my scope on my truck. This is spark firing and compression with a pressure transducer.

Should the spark be occurring more toward tdc? This is cracking.

Would this be an indicator of a loose timing chain.

1996 3.0 ranger. Waste spark system.

Does the Autel scope have cursors to do time measurements? Mostly thinking about trying to measure that spark advance directly.

Finding a spec of base ignition timing on a waste spark system like this may be tough, but I'd be comfortable with around 10 degrees BTDC.
