vw golf plus, 2006 mod. Unable to reset steering angle after battery disconnect.
This one is a nasty one. We had it in for a repair on the alternator, changed the drive wheel on it. Had the battery disconnected during.
When I reconnected and startet the car, the ESP light and the yellow steering wheel lamp was lit. Have tried many things to reset it. But cannot. Error codes are: 02546 and 00778.
Have a generic tester, have also tried at a dealer With the vag com.
How many miles have you driven it like this? Some people report success just driving it down a straight road for a short time . I've never tried so I can't confirm that.
Do not start the system function test, it can sometimes be a very finicky process to complete.
Make sure you only carry out the appropriate basic settings.
