By posting the year, make, model and engine near the beginning of your help request, followed by the symptoms (no start, high idle, misfire etc.) Along with any prevalent Diagnostic Trouble Codes, aka DTCs, other forum members will be able to help you get to a solution more quickly and easily!
Hey Check this out I have a 83 f 150 in the shop that is EEC 3. Have not seen one of these in a long time. It is a 5.8 G code engine. some body has put on a Holly carb but did not convert the ignition. it came in as a no start. I fixed some fuse links got it started and it was running fair. I was hearing what sounded like a spark snap and discovered that it was a solenoid on the valve cover. I unplugged it and the truck ran for a few seconds then died. I have not had spark since then. I have no signal out of the ECM to the spark control module. Anyway I can not find a pin out on the ECM any where I have Alldata Idenitifix and Mitchell I guess Ford don't really want to talk about that mess much. I,m curious to know what happened and would like to diag it but without a good scematic I'm kinda stuck. I will probably convert the ignition anyway but my question is dose anybody have a good schematic showing the ECM or a pin out of the ECM?????
