Hi I have a 2007 toyota caldina based on toyota corolla I'm having power lost on acceleration with popping noise from engine firing with no trouble codes plus when disconnecting any of the coil connector the car shuts off I'm a auto technician and first time seeing a car shut down after removing one ignition connector any ideas what can cause this?

Do you know which engine your Caldina uses? Turbo, NA? The specific engine code would be preferable. Knowing that will help us provide better assistance.

Popping during acceleration tends to suggest a lean condition. What are the fuel trims at idle and 2,500 RPM?

The engine shutting off after disconnecting a coil may or may not be relevant, IMO. Ignition coils on Toyota products use the IGF circuit to report back to the ECM/PCM that the coil fired. Some applications will stall the engine on purpose when one of the IGF signals go missing as part of a failure strategy.

I don't know if your Caldina is one of those applications or not. I'd probably stick with the lack of power/popping on acceleration symptom for now.
