P0366 chevy cruze was created by prometheus1
Hello, I'm having an issue with my 2011 cruze 1.8L. The other day it started running rough. I scanned the car and came up with a P0366. I've tested both cam sensors and they are both fine. Both are doing the incremental count when I pass a piece of steel over them. I did a timing belt replacement about 7 months ago, and it's been running great. There was also the code P0300 multiple missfires.. The coil pack was replace about 7 months ago.
I'm at a loss now as to where to test now.
Thanks Brady

At what range of voltage does the signal toggle? It should be very close to 5v-0v

Hi Chad, both are reading 4.7volts. That's with the engine not running.
I'm more mechanical, electrical i am not good with, but its my vehicle so I need to fix it.

I don't understand what fast base or slow base is.

First, determine if your signal is creating the "camshaft pulses" by toggling from 5v to 0 volts, as the cam turns.

Both are doing the incremental count when I pass a piece of steel over them.

Connect a volt meter to the signal wire and slowly turn the engine, by hand. The "incremental count" should toggle from 5v to 0v as the cam reluctor "fingers" pass by the sensor.
If you have access to a labscope, this would be a good place to use it.

I'll give that a try. I do have a lab scope. I'll do that this weekend and get back to you with the results.
Thank you

Since you have a labscope, you don't need to turn the engine, slowly, by hand. Use the starter.
