P0443 Low voltage on feed wires (Purge Solenoid and Fuel Injectors) was created by Bobby10
Hello,
P0443
Costumer said that the purge solenoid has been replaced.
The car sounds and feels like misfires.
I checked the harness on the purge solenoid. KOEO, I have 4(V) on feed wire and 0(V) on control wire.
I don't know why but I checked the feed wire on the ignition coil and it was 12(V).
Also I checked the feed wire on the fuel injector and it was 3.9(V).
Any suggestion?
Thanks
PS. I have one simple scanner for reading codes/live data, test light and a multimeter.

Well I wanted to pull a diagram but the whole European build shuts that down... Do you have any diagrams for this car if not we'll have to figure out where the purge and injectors get power maybe test fuses to see if you only have 4v there would be easiest place to start. Odds are it's after the fuse though and we'll have to check resistance and short to ground on that circuit with the fuse out

I have a wiring diagram attached.
Y104 is the Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve as you can see.

Could the 4ish volts be a bias voltage?
I'm thinking of a scenario where the injectors don't necessarily get 12v with the key on. Like a Chrysler ASD relay equipped system, where you get 12v for a key on prime then nothing until the PCM registers RPM and energizes the relay again.
I apologise if I'm way off base. I have never seen a skoda, and prefer to not work on VAG vehicles if I can help it....
Also, what is the definition of p0443 for those of us not in the know?

I guess it would depend on when the PCM activates the relay marked k20.
The circuit looks like it could be designed just the way I'm thinking, considering k20 powers the fuses that power the injectors and the purge solenoid.

Noah may be on to something here maybe recheck voltage koer just to make sure we're not chasing a ghost

Okay, thanks for your answers Ben and Noah.
I will re-check if I get 12(V) at the fuel injectors and at purge valve with KOER and I will let you know.

Okay guys with KOER I got battery voltage on fuel injectors.
As for the EVAP purge valve, I still read 4(V). I checked the Fuse24 and it was good. The costumer said that the purge valve has been replaced.
In accordance with the wiring diagram, at EVAP canister purge valve harness, should I read battery voltage on feed wire and zero on control wire?
The car sounds and feels like misfiring. Could this problem be related with the purge valve? Because CEL is on and there is only a P0443 (Evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve) code.
No idea what should I do next. I am new at this diagnostic stuff.

I'm going to say no you wouldn't get a misfire from a evap purge cable not opening it's possible if 1 were stuck open(which could be) disconnect the vacuum line and plug the end to the engine and see if it changes the way it runs but if you only have 4v at the purge valve you may only have 4v to something more important than the purge valve so it's probably worth fixing this voltage problem
