Help us help you. By posting the year, make, model and engine near the beginning of your help request, followed by the symptoms (no start, high idle, misfire etc.) Along with any prevalent Diagnostic Trouble Codes, aka DTCs, other forum members will be able to help you get to a solution more quickly and easily!
intermittent issues, died on highway and was incredibly hard to start. vehicle does have an evap system leak (purge valve supply hose is completely cut thru). When it did finally start vehicle drives and starts normally without issues, this has happened once before 2 months ago. Oddly the long term fuel trims are 0 on both banks as if the keep alive memory has been reset.
Instrument Cluster Codes:
B2477-00 (Module configuration failure)
B2477-60 (module configuration failure)
U1262-60 (SCP/ STANDARD CORPORATE PROTOCOL data link fault)
U1900-20 (CANbus communication fault- receive error)
ABS MODULE CODES:
U0073-20 (CANbus communication fault)
U1900-20 (CANbus communication fault- receive error)
When testing the bus @ OBD DLC:
-resistance between CANH and CANL is 61 ohms, disconnecting either module with a terminating resistor increases resistance to 120 ohms as expected
- when testing resistance between CANH and GND the resistance is 600 ohms, same for CANL to GND
- with ABS module disconnected, resistance between CANL and GND or CANH and GND is increased to 7k ohms.
Is this normal or not, if not any advice on the possible cause would be appreciated. Could the instrument cluster not being properly configured cause intermittent CANbus communication issues? I should also add when clearing codes they all clear except for the SCP data link fault and the module configuration error codes.
