We are working on a 2004 Chevy C4500 with a Duramax LLY engine. We are dealing with error codes P0341 and P0340. We have replaced both the crank and cam sensors, and we have also done wire overlays for both. However, the vehicle intermittently refuses to start. When it's not starting, it isn't registering the engine speed. We have inspected the wiring harness thoroughly without removing it completely from the engine. We have repaired some potential rubbing areas, but it has not resolved the issue.

I've only seen one post talking about a similar issue but they didn't have a solution. they replaced the sensors the wire and the ECM, and it still does it

As a heavy-duty diesel mechanic based in Oregon, I work on a variety of vehicles, including F-150s, tractor-trailers, RVs, pumper trailers, wood chippers, and whatever else the owner brings in.
