I am replacing a cvt in a Nissan Sentra 2014 I have not started the car yet I am in the scanner and had a question. I have erased the learning value and confirmed the cvtf and I am getting a p17f0 is this going to go away after I do the auxiliary gearbox clutch learning point or do I have an underlying issue. Also not the tcm has been updated to 31036-9am7b software 8806 thank you in advanceĀ

Newguyaroundhere, are you still having issues with the P17F0?

Doing the auxiliary gearbox clutch learn is an important step, but it won't help with the P17F0. You'll still need to do the Control Valve Replacement procedure. That'll clear the calibration data out of the TCM and relearn the new calibration data from the replacement transmission. Keep in mind that the 'Control Valve Replacement' is a Nissan term used in their scan tool. Various aftermarket scan tools have this ability, but may name it something else.

P17F0 will not go away until the Control Valve Replacement procedure is completed.
