Hi,

I just tried to test a Mercedes Sprinter EGR solenoid using the book. I’ve watched videos of Paul safely grounding EGR’s and identifying which is the control wire by unplugging it. However when I unplug this EGR both motor wires jump from 12v to low voltage. Making it hard for me to determine which one is the control wire and to safely control the solenoid. Would love some help on how to manually control a PWM solenoid

Could you specify the year and engine of your Sprinter? That'll help us better understand the circuit you're testing.

Without the diagram in front of me, I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say both of the EGR solenoid wires go to the engine controller?
