To 2014grish. As I mentioned before the fix for my engine was to replace the Connector to the high pressure sensor fuel line and replace the sensor also. I have driven about 4500 miles now on my changed newer motor with no engine lights or problems. I did notice that the high pressure fuel line sensor looked different on the newer motor.

As I mentioned above. My fix was to replace the high pressure fuel line sensor connector and the sensor also. This fixed my problem. Note that the high pressure sensor did look different on the newer motor,

Wait did you replace the high pressure fuel pump or is there a different sensor that I don’t know about?

Yes. I had the Roseville Chevrolet Dealer change the high pressure fuel pump for around $1600. They could not find why the codes a kept returning They had my truck for 3.5 weeks and could not find the problem. I got the truck back and proceded to change anything connected electricaly as mensioned above in the past post. The high fuel line sensor is located under the intake manifold. Hope this helps.

So I just swapped it and my issues are gone….i understand why too. I did not end up doing the connector because I inspected mine and it was perfect. The engine I used was from a 2019 Colorado and mine is a 2017 Colorado. The whole issue is that the pressure sensor that sits on the fuel rail only goes on 2017-2018 Colorados. The sensor I pulled off was completely different looking than mine on my old engine.

Also I had another issue, when I would start the truck for the first 10-20 seconds my engine would make a squeaking noise from up top in that exact area. Looks like that sensor on the 2019 doesn’t communicate with the ECU and cause all of these issues from codes, to squeaks, to weird start up. I could tell right away that this sensor replacement was the fix. I’m annoyed at all the wasted time but thank God that you replied and my truck is good now!

I had the EXACT same thing happen to us at our shop including codes that would show up one time and the different codes coming up the next. Customer said the truck went into limp mode with him as well, only to go to customer's house and drive back without a problem what so ever. I did notice an added caveat. That being that the fuel trims were negative in the mid-teens. I am SOOOOOO glad I found this post about this problem! Thanks to the community and the DANNER!
